Teaching a Young "Dah" New Tricks

In the week since Ruvane turned ONE, he has been entertaining us non-stop with party tricks. It is amazing to see how fast he is picking things up now. On command, he can stick out his tongue, raise his hand for high-five, make clicking noises at the sight of a horse picture and pucker up like a fish for "kisses."

And, while there is much debate around our household, I believe Ru's first word is DOG. Every time he sees a dog or a picture of a dog, he says "Dah!" Noah thinks it doesn't count until he pronounces it correctly. He's also mastered a few signs. Still no "mama" though: that will be a great moment, and there will be no debate.
